Crystal Palace Osteopath
Movement-Focused Approach
Helping active adults get back to running, exercising, and daily activities without pain holding them back. Through hands-on treatment and movement coaching, you'll understand your body and build lasting strength.
How I Work
I blend hands-on osteopathic treatment with movement coaching because lasting change comes from understanding your body and learning to move better - not just treating symptoms.
I've trained extensively in movement science and assessment - including courses with MovNat, Gray Institute, and specialists in gait, biomechanics and functional movement. This deeper understanding of movement patterns helps me identify what's actually contributing your pain - not just where it hurts.
You'll receive hands-on treatment for immediate relief when you need it. But the real progress comes from building strength, improving your movement patterns, and understanding how your body works - so the same problems don't keep recurring.
Understanding what's happening
I assess how you move to identify patterns that might be contributing to your pain - not just where it hurts.
Hands-on treatment
Osteopathic techniques to relieve discomfort, reduce tension, and help your body move more freely.
Movement re-education
You'll learn movement patterns and exercises that build resilience and address the root cause of your issue.
Tools for independence
Clear explanations and practical strategies so you understand your body and can look after it confidently on your own.
Is this you?
You're frustrated. The pain keeps coming back. You've tried treatment before - maybe it helped for a while, but here you are again. You're tired of quick fixes and want to actually understand and solve the problem.
You're motivated. You're willing to do exercises, change how you move, put in the work between sessions. You don't just want someone to "fix" you - you want to understand your body and know how to look after it.
You want your life back. You want to run, lift, play with your kids, exercise - whatever matters to you - without pain getting in the way.
If that sounds like you, get in touch.
How I've Helped
Lower back pain disrupting marathon training
Jonathan, 50, had persistent lower back tightness that kept disrupting his marathon training. We worked on movement-based mobility exercises and re-learning movement patterns for his pelvis and hips, alongside hands-on treatment. A focused 20-30 minute daily routine helped him avoid major setbacks and continue training.
Not knowing what was safe to do
Martha, 48, had stopped all exercise - hip pain and recurring neck and shoulder tension made her uncertain about what was safe and what would make things worse. Through hands-on treatment combined with clear guidance on how to exercise safely and rebuild confidence, she broke the pain cycle and is confidently active again.
Preparing for second knee replacement
Rachel, 70, developed compensatory patterns from her arthritic knee that persisted even after her first replacement. These unaddressed patterns overloaded her other knee, which now also needs replacing. We're maintaining her strength and function pre-surgery to support better outcomes and faster recovery.
Sidelined by Achilles tendinopathy
Sam, 37, was sidelined from both football and running by Achilles tendinopathy - the two activities keeping him sane during a busy time with young kids. Through progressive strengthening and learning how to build up training safely, he's back to both activities pain-free.

What to Expect
Your first session (60 minutes) focuses on understanding your issue and how it's affecting you. I'll assess how you move to identify what's contributing to your problem, use hands-on osteopathic and soft tissue techniques to relieve immediate discomfort, and guide you through movements that reinforce the treatment.
You'll leave with a clear understanding of what's causing your issue and practical steps to continue at home.
Follow-up sessions (45-60 minutes) build on this foundation - we'll progressively develop your movement plan and continue hands-on treatment as needed. Most people need 3-6 sessions over 6-12 weeks.
