Strong Foundations:

Functional Movement & Strength Class

Build a body that supports you in life, not just in workouts.

Strong Foundations is a small-group movement class designed to help you feel stronger, more stable, and more confident in how your body moves.
Whether you're recovering from injury, dealing with joint stiffness, or just want to move better and age well, this class gives you the tools — and the structure — to make real progress.

Why join Strong Foundations?

You’ll work through practical movement patterns that translate into everyday life — like squatting, reaching, stepping, or lifting — with expert guidance every step of the way.
Expect a mix of strength work, balance, and mobility, all taught at a pace that allows for awareness, control, and adaptation to your own body.

Osteopath-led strength and mobility class using light weights to build functional control and joint stability in a supportive studio environment.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • No — the class is designed for all levels and abilities. Whether you haven't exercised in years or you're regularly active, movements are adapted to your starting point. I guide each person individually within the group setting. The pace allows for awareness and control rather than intensity, so you won't be asked to do anything beyond your current capability.

  • Strong Foundations blends elements of Pilates with functional strength work and joint mobility — all taught by an osteopath who understands injury, pain, and how bodies adapt to movement challenges. Unlike a standard Pilates class, the focus is on practical movement patterns you actually use in daily life — squatting, reaching, stepping, lifting — with an emphasis on joint health, balance, and whole-body resilience rather than just core strength. → Learn more about my movement-based approach.

  • Yes, with guidance. Because the class is led by an osteopath, I can modify movements for your specific situation. Many participants join because they want structured, supervised movement that's safe for their body. If you're currently being treated for a condition, please contact me prior to booking → book a free 15-minute call and we can discuss whether the class is right for you at this stage.

  • Weekly attendance gives the best results, as it provides consistent stimulus for your body to adapt and build on. Most participants attend weekly, but of the place is available you can attend at ad hoc basis. You need to book before attending.
